The Singapore Academy of Law (SAL) is the promotion and development agency for Singapore’s legal profession. Its 17,000-strong membership spans all segments of the legal profession, including private practice, in-house counsel, academia and the judiciary.
SAL’s marquee legal tech event, TechLaw.Fest (11 – 12 September 2024), delves into the issues surrounding the law of tech and tech of law. Jointly organised with Singapore’s Ministry of Law, This year’s edition promises an insightful exploration of AI’s impact on law and technology, delving into topics such as protecting creativity in the generative age and understanding global AI regulation. Node events in key global markets have grown TechLaw.Fest’s international footprint, offering new opportunities for delegates to connect and share thought leadership on the evolving business of law.
Beyond TechLaw.Fest, SAL also powers the region’s legal profession through LawNet, Singapore’s premier online legal research platform. LawNet, which includes case law, legislation, an e-reader and content centred on Asian legal insights, is managed by LawNet Technology Services, a subsidiary of SAL.
