For just £19.15, Mary’s Meals serves a nutritious meal to some of the world’s poorest children in their place of learning every school day. It is a simple idea that works. With a promise of a meal attracting them into the classroom, children can gain a basic education and an escape route from poverty. The programmes are community owned, volunteer run and the food is locally sourced where possible. Founded in 2002, by Magnus McFarlane-Barrow, in Malawi, the first school fed 200 children. Mary’s Meals now feeds over 2.4 million children in 18 countries, but more than 67 million primary school-age children are out of school around the world. Mary’s Meals is always reaching out to the next child.
