Deutsche Lufthansa AG (DLH) relies on the innovative AI-supported case management and automation platform JUNE to process passenger claims automatically and efficiently. Together with its partner law firms, the airline‘s legal department has embarked on a new and promising path of collaboration. The direct beneficiaries of this cooperation are first and foremost the customers, who benefit from fast and high-quality handling of proceedings.

Data-driven approach for maximum transparency of the entire process chain DLH has brought its solution partner JUNE on board to put these goals into practice: JUNE has implemented its AI-supported case management and automation platform at the airline and its partner law firms. This allows all claims-related workflows to be fully digitized and all data to be consolidated into a consistent single source of truth. This data-driven approach provides maximum transparency and a comprehensive 360-degree view of all relevant information. As a result, DLH‘s legal department can map and manage the entire process chain – from receipt of the claim to its closure – on a single, centralized platform, supported by AI and without media disruption.

JUNE automatically recognizes incoming documents such as mail and emails and extracts relevant content such as deadlines, dates, parties involved and key case data. The latter is then analyzed in detail using AI, paving the way for success analysis, comprehensive assistance systems and search functions. JUNE also supports the creation of legal documents. In addition, case status reports can be generated at the touch of a button. DLH and passengers benefit equally

“We benefit enormously from working with JUNE and are able to process a large number of claims automatically and efficiently using the AI-based platform. This not only saves us time and money, but also provides added value to our customers through fast and streamlined claims processing. We are starting with Lufthansa Airlines in Germany. However, the project is set up in such a way that a roll-out at subsidiaries or for claims in other countries can take place without any major additional effort,“ explains Sebastian Thies, project manager for the implementation at DLH.

Björn Frommer, co-founder and CEO of JUNE, adds: “We are delighted with the positive impact our AI platform is having at DLH. We are able to make the application available for other types of litigation in a flexible and very timely manner. We are therefore working intensively with DLH on new ideas and opportunities for further constructive cooperation to our mutual benefit.“
