Code of Conduct

This Code of Conduct applies to all staff, attendees, sponsors, speakers, partners, and third parties attending or working at our events.

LegalTechTalk is the space where the legal sector’s most innovative minds connect to shape the future of legal services. We are committed to building an inclusive and equitable platform that champions diversity of background, perspective, and thought.

We also take compliance with UK competition law seriously. All attendees are reminded that they must comply with all applicable competition and antitrust laws, and must not disclose or discuss competitively sensitive information (including business strategy, pricing, client or supplier relationships, or commercial preferences). If in doubt, attendees should seek guidance from their own organisations or legal advisers.

Behavioural Expectations

LegalTechTalk has zero tolerance for inappropriate, disruptive, or abusive behaviour – whether in person or online – towards other delegates, speakers, partners, sponsors, or staff. Unacceptable behaviour includes but is not limited to:

  • Offensive spoken or written comments related to (but not limited to) gender, gender identity or expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, ethnicity, religion, belief, or political opinion;
  • Deliberate intimidation or bullying, in person or virtually;
  • A lack of respect for others, including microaggressions;
  • Harassing photography or videography;
  • Sustained disruption of talks or other scheduled events;
  • Inappropriate or unwanted physical contact;
  • Aggressive or violent behaviour – verbal or physical;
  • Sexual harassment, including unwanted advances, sexual remarks, or conduct of a sexual nature (such as intrusive staring);
  • Running activities or engaging in conduct that excludes others or creates inequity;
  • Behaving irresponsibly or inappropriately while under the influence of alcohol or other substances.

We expect all attendees and representatives engaging with LegalTechTalk – whether in person at the event or through our brand in any capacity – to behave in a fair, respectful, and responsible manner. Everyone involved has the right to feel safe, welcomed, and heard.

If you witness or experience a breach of this Code of Conduct, please speak to a member of the LegalTechTalk team or contact us via email at [email protected].
