Law firm Lander & Rogers will run its seventh accelerator program for legal tech startups in 2024, with applications now open.
The focus is once again on artificial intelligence (AI), which, like so many traditional industries, is now transforming law.
Since it began, the LawTech Hub accelerator has assisted 25 startups – all bar one are still in operation – including legal automation and chatbot startup Josef; secure end-to-end drafting and negotiating AI platform, DraftWise; cloud-optimised data synchronisation platform, Syncly; and risk management software, 6clicks.
Chief executive partner, Genevieve Collins said projects that emerged from the accelerator have also revolutionised the way that global law firms and large corporations do business as they grow and are adapted globally. “I’m excited about the opportunities that will be created through the seventh edition of our LawTech Hub focusing on artificial intelligence, and the simultaneous launch of our new AI Lab and firmwide AI program,” she said.
“As we look forward to welcoming our new cohort of AI-powered startups and together exploring what is possible, I am confident our clients will continue to experience the very best in legal service and the very latest in legal technology.”
Lander & Rogers’ head of partnerships and director of the LawTech Hub, Courtney Blackman said the 2024 cohort will be focused on the intersection of law and artificial intelligence. “There is quite a lot happening in the legal-tech-meets-AI space and it will be incredible to work with some of the brilliant minds that are driving the industry forward,” she said.
The five startups in the 2023 LawTech Hub were Deeligence (Melbourne), Disclosure Ready (Melbourne), Halisok (Brisbane), Oddr (Silicon Valley).
