Leading global professional services firm Alvarez and Marsal (A&M) today announced the launch of ChatView, the firm’s proprietary tool to extract and analyze chat data for forensic technology concerns pertaining to regulatory and legal disputes. As an AI-powered forensic technology tool, ChatView enables lawyers and investigators to conduct domestic and cross-border disputes and investigations leveraging chat data for a complete and comprehensive methodology. ChatView builds on A&M’s mission to help clients navigate challenging regulatory environments and harness technologies for driving change and maximising value.
Hong Kong statutory law mandates where claims exceed HK$8 million with more than 10,000 documents involved in a commercial dispute would require e-Discovery. A&M ChatView cuts through the volume of potentially hundreds of thousands, if not millions of, messages and refines the scope into an easy-to-review format. Additionally, ChatView does not store chat data on the cloud thus helping to mitigate risk for clients.
Davin Teo, Managing Director and Co-Leader of A&M’s Disputes and Investigations Practice in North Asia, said, “A&M ChatView is a strategic extension of the services and capabilities that clients know us for. The handling of mobile and chat data now requires extra caution to ensure compliance with data security laws globally. A&M ChatView delivers the e-Discovery data extraction and analysis that clients need to be comprehensive and defensible and to maximize value. ChatView embodies the benefit of A&M’s results-oriented mindset and operational approach for clients.”
